Q. Why so much money?
A. Research shows that the average adoption is about $35,000 plus travel expenses. This private adoption is far below the going rate due to the help and cooperation of some very good people. We hope to raise much more than $15,000 enabling us to help many couples adopt with zero adoption related debt because of your generosity.
Q. Why are you using Go Fund Me? Their fees are pretty high.
A. We would LOVE to use another source! We definitely don’t want to waste hard earned money in unnecessary fees. Please feel free to make recommendations. We want you to be able to track the money given, and we do not want to leave any room for someone to misuse or abuse these funds. If you personally know us, you may send a check knowing that 100% of your donation will be used for the adoption.
Q. What happens to this money if you have an overage, or if you decide not to or are unable to adopt?
A. 100% of these funds will be used for adoption. If we are unable for any reason to adopt, these funds will be used to help other couples adopt.
Q. Can I see how you use this money?
A. Yes! Any financial contributor can ask to see our records at any time. It’s your money, and we want you to know how we are using it.
Q. What about the Federal Adoption Tax Credit?
A. Rest Assured we will be the first ones in line to take advantage of any such credit at that time. Should we receive any money back from adoption expenses that money will go into our adoption fund, and it will only be used for adoption purposes.
